Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a permanent home address in the villages of Ickleford, Holwell, Pirton or Stondon on 1st September of the academic year they are applying for.
  • Applicants must be under 25 on 1st September of the academic year they are applying for.
  • Further education grants will only be awarded for a maximum of 3 years per student.
  • Applications can be submitted from August for the ensuing academic year but are accepted throughout the academic year that is being applied for.
  • A separate application should be made for each complete year of study.
  • Evidence of address and course must be supplied.
  • Applicants must be following a programme of full time study at their school or college.
  • Students receiving an award must complete their course. Rand’s Educational Foundation retain the right to reclaim any grants made to students who fail to take up or complete their course.
  • Paid placement years as part of the course are not usually supported.
  • Following initial or earlier grants to an individual does not guarantee subsequent year(s) grants or the amount awarded.

Application Procedure

  1. Download the application form.
  2. Complete all sections – this can be done electronically.
  3. A valid Council Tax bill must be provided as proof of address. This must be dated within the current tax year (see above).
  4. Documentary evidence must be provided for each year.  Please provide a copy of your offer letter for the first year of study and a copy of your exam results (which must contain confirmation of the continuation of the course) in subsequent years.
  5. Sign and date the form – this can be done electronically.
  6. Completed forms and supporting evidence should be e-mailed direct to the clerk using the email link at the top of the application form or scanned and emailed to randsclerk@gmail.com.  Alternatively, you can print and post the form.

What happens then?

  • All applications are reviewed by the Governing body to ensure eligibility
  • Once eligibility is confirmed, the relevant payment will be made by bank transfer and you will be notified by email.
