We thank Rand’s Educational Foundation for the grant awarded in 2024. This was used to change the fences in part of our garden and take out a big tree. We have also purchased a bench and mud kitchen for our children. Thank you so much for this money, it has been amazing in helping Stondon Stompers

In July 2023, I went on a World Challenge Trip to Morocco along with nine other students from The Priory School, Hitchin. I had been looking forward to this for a long time and spent many months raising money for the cost if the Trip.

The Rand’s Educational Foundation was kind enough to give me a generous Grant to help with my fundraising and this short report is to describe what a fantastic and worthwhile trip it was.

Overall, it was an incredible experience and one I will never forget. I made so many wonderful memories with some of my closest friends and I am so glad I got the opportunity to go on the trip. I am also extremely thankful to the Rand’s Educational Foundation for their grant which made a big difference to my fundraising. I will never forget it.

On behalf of Pirton Youth Club, I would like to thank you for your very generous donation. We have used it to buy some up to date games for our Play Station and some outdoor equipment for the summer term, including some water pistols and reusable water balloons for our end of term water fight! We have also purchased a fire pit which we used to cook hot dogs and Smores to warm everyone up after they got soaked! It was very popular and we’re looking forward to using it again for Bonfire Night and at other points throughout the year.

Some of the money also went towards a trip to Mr Mulligans Crazy Golf in Stevenage. This was a great night with some very competitive young people all trying to beat their friends’ scores!

Once again, thank you to everyone at Rands for our grant. We very much appreciate it and it has allowed us to provide some great opportunities for the young people of Pirton and Holwell.

Ickleford Scout Group were very grateful to receive a generous grant which has enabled them to replace the previously insecure door on the Scout Stores.

The work has now been successfully carried out and will enable them to store all their equipment safely and securely, ensuring all their young members and leaders can participate in a wide range of scouting activities for years to come.

Ickleford Squash Club were delighted to receive a recent grant from Rand’s Educational Foundation.

The grant will be used to replace equipment used during Junior Squash training sessions.  Some of our equipment is old and damaged, so the money will be used to replace rackets, safety glasses and squash balls.

The squash club runs two junior squash training sessions each Wednesday – one for beginners and the other for more advanced players.  Juniors aged 11 to 18 years can take part free of charge.

We also have two junior teams competing in the Hertfordshire junior inter-club leagues, and actively encourage players to take part in local junior squash tournaments.

Lea Sports PSG would like to express its thanks once again to the Rands Educational Foundation for its support of our Club.

Lea Sports was originally established in 1973 and has been based in the Hertfordshire village of Pirton since 1995, where it provides footballing opportunities for players from Under Sevens to Veterans across its 15 teams.

This is a very exciting time for the Club, as not only do we celebrate our Golden Anniversary this year, but plans are well-developed for a new pavilion in Pirton which we hope will be completed for the 2024-25 season.

New players are always welcome and should contact Secretary Steve Smith for more details  secretary@leasports.com

I recently returned from my expedition to Nepal which you kindly helped the funding of.

The trip was amazing and definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m so glad I’ve done it and will never forget any of it.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I really appreciate the donation you gave because it made the rest of my fundraising a little bit easier.

Thank you so much once again.

We are very grateful to Rand’s Educational Foundation who have generously provided an annual grant to Pirton Pre-School for many years. These grants have enabled us to purchase those larger items that would otherwise take many many fundraising events to obtain. They have also allowed us to make improvements to both our indoor and outdoor spaces which have provided the children with new experiences and more opportunities to develop their own imagination and creativity

Rand’s Educational Foundation contributed towards my World Challenge expedition to Cambodia and Thailand.  The trip was a huge opportunity for me and developed new skills and an appreciation of the wider world.

Rand’s Educational Foundation have supported Ickleford VC Primary School for many years, donating money annually to support those ‘little extras’ for the children that the school budget just can’t manage to provide.
